    Testing AV&V™ 65007SG Beehive Spring Kit

    Look how the AV&V™ valve locks actually “CLAMP” the valve stem compared to the stock triple groove locks – See picture at the top

    We have developed a Beehive valve spring kit that can accept up to .650” lift and withstand 57% higher loads than the OEM Beehive spring kit before there is a sign of deformation. That means that running aggressive cams with increased spring rates is no longer an issue. This kit which includes AV&V™’s latest new forged and CNC machined retainers, single groove CNC machined 9˚ locks and superior Beehive springs is meant to fit OEM style 7MM  triple groove valves as well as single groove valves .

    AV&V™ has completed extensive testing on these new kits, both on a dynamometer and in destructive testing facilities. All tests that were executed on a widespread range of retainers and locks were completed with a material tensile strength testing machine (Alliance RF200). All tests were executed at 1mm/min of material elongation. Considering that the data acquisition was operating at 10 Hz, this gives us sufficient data to analyse the assemblies in the post destruction session.

    However the main interest of this test was the comparison of the stock OEM Beehive spring kit assembly with our upgraded kit that includes our Extreme endurance Beehive springs, our 9˚CNC machined single groove locks and our R6500 forged and CNC machined retainers.

    Tensile Strength Testing
